Fade away, not by along shoot!
The UHF has never pushed anything on anyone, but I'm not here to argue about whether or not you think the UHF is or isn't going anywhere, i can tell you this, the Money is in the Bank, and any member who feels they have something to worry about can contact the treasurer and get the facts!
I went to the key Largo FWC meeting a few weeks ago, it cost me about 125 dollars, I paid for it out of my pocket, Many, Many things the UHF does comes out of the Officers pockets, so we may use the dues for more important things, like donate to fallen hunters families, or meet with the Florida sportsmens legislative Caucus, Many other needed things that affect hunters!
I have to say, it's good to have you out there, we need Hunters to see the Pros and Cons of organizing, for the record, what are you doing for yourself and Hunters of florida, Anything? The UHF may not be the Best thing but it's something positive for Hunters, ALL HUNTERS!
Russ,
The writing is on the wall, if hunters don't start pulling together we will loose alot of what we have, Take that for what it's worth, the all mighty dollar is going to hurt hunters here in florida! Even you have to admit, Deer Hunters are lacking in Unity, just Imagine where we'd be if we pulled together like Turkey, Duck or the manatee groups?
Babcock ranch is a 70 thousand acre Ranch that Florida has the ability to purchase, The UHF, and several other organization are working to make sure hunters will be apart of this land purchase, the DEP and the federal Gov. is involved here, how much land do we hunt on that the DEP owns? Do you think we should just sit back while the State of Florida buys this and locks it up to Horse riders and such, like all the other land DEP owns?
