Subject: Pitch or Revenue?

As there were no home games last Saturday, Dean worked hard to arrange a 2nd. team game at home against Stratford so that we could watch a game & get some revenue across the bar.
What happens? The game is sent down to the Cowpatch, presumably to 'protect' the main pitch. Result - loss of takings from potential spectators/beer drinkers drifting down to the Cowpatch &/or going straight home after the game.
Can somebody explain this logic when we need all the revenue we can get?
