Videos that were never made

Keith has so many great songs that were never released as singles so they don't have videos. Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to "produce" a video for a song that doesn't have one. Describe what you'd like to see, the mood, the setting, Keith's outfit, is it a story video or a concert video or a combo, what? Elaborate as much as you can, describing what you "see" based on the lyrics, etc. And feel free to do more than one, and create a different scenario than someone else for the same song.

Or, if you choose, you can suggest changes for videos already made. Inserting yourself into RoS does NOT count. LOL I'll be back later to tell you all about mine.

Let those creative juices flow!

You look good in my shirt. I have always pictured him barefoot, clingy t shirt and jeans sitting back in a chair jamming away while a girl in one of his shirts walks around his house. During the rest of the song, play it out with a girl and him. The part, where he says later on we caught up real fast, have a picture of them close together and him lay her down on the bed and show a mirror image of them, not showing but giving the illusion of IT.

ok keith is at a party and a woman from his past slips behinds him and covers his eyes. in his mind he knows who it is but cant quite believe it. so he rattles off a few names silly ones like dolly parton, etc., then it shows them reconnecting and they leave together then of course they end up making love and the next morning she crawls our of his bed looking very happy indeed in the shirt he had on the previous night. probably a button down to get men to watch it too. anyways whew im through

[> The Man of the House -- Aussie Chick, 20:44:40 04/10/06 Mon [1]

I would love to see a video clip for Man of the House. Being one of my favorite Keith songs, it would make a great ‘story’ video with Keith in the starring role. It is amazing how when you listen to Keith’s songs you sort of just imagine a video in your head; he just has this way of getting me to picture his words, so perfectly. I really went to town with this one so here goes!

I see it as black and white clip which eventually turns colour. Keith is wearing a pair of jeans (of course) and a white buttoned down shirt, with those buttons undone revealing his chest as usual. (Much like the MMOU video, I just can’t help it; I love that one so much!)

It starts with Keith by himself in a white room with the window open and wind blowing some white curtain thingy around. He is playing guitar for the opening few bars and he is sitting in a cane chair, by the window with his guitar across his knees, playing with the most feeling and looking at his guitar as he plays. Lots of close ups here, and as he begins to sing, we see Keith in a white tiled bathroom, singing into the mirror at himself. He sings the first verse with lots of ‘eyebrow lifts’ and ‘head tilts’! The clip then flashes between Keith singing in the mirror and Keith in the story.

We now see Keith driving an old beat up ‘pick up truck’ he pulls into a drive and we see a huge white house in front of him.
Then we see his lover in the story open the door dressed in nothing but a white bed sheet. As she opens the door, Keith walks up to the door and greets her with a smile and follows her inside and up the stairs.
We see them kissing and her hands are in his hair and his fingers run a trail down her back. Keith’s shirt is off, he is glowing in the sunlight coming from the open window (of course I picture myself in this role!) Keith’s jeans are still on but the top button is undone revealing that gorgeous little trail down to you know where!

The picture now turns to colour and it is becoming dark. We see Keith looking at the big black iron gates as he drives away and at the two white statues at the top of each pillar, he smiles and continues to drive away down the road into the night.
We see Keith sing out the end of the song in the mirror repeating the chorus and right at the end we see his lover look out the window and there is a tear in her eye as she watches Keith drive away.

[> Songs that don't have videos -- Randee, 00:22:06 04/12/06 Wed [1]

My Version of "Raining on Sunday"

Well it would start out with me either TRYING to cook dinner or pacing the floor and looking out the window seeing the grey sky and knowing a storm is coming and I'm wondering when Keith would be home. Because he would know that I get extreamly scared of thunder storms! I have been all my life. With the thunder and lighting and NO HIM. And I start calling his cell when the first ring of his cell I realize he is standing right behind me with roses and he has this adorable look on his face. And I'm safe in his arms for the rest of the night till the storm blows over.

[> [> You're Not Alone Tonight -- ShanBan, 11:22:54 04/12/06 Wed [1]

I'm sure I'll do another one at some point too lol but for now...
This song has helped me trhough so much and I always thought it would make an amazing video, we had to write something like this up for film class so heres what I wrote...

The camera opens in on a bottle of whiskey then pans up to a girl who looks very sad. She looks at the bottle and then pours it down the drain and sits on the counter and hangs her head. The we shoot to Keith standing in the doorway. Throughout the whole video the girl is unaware of his presence even when he touches her, like hes a ghost. He walks over to her singin the chorus and he tucks some hair behind her ear as he sings "You're not alone tonight". The second verse starts and we see a shot of the phone, then baack to the girl who looks over at it and jumps off the counter to go answer it. We see a bit of hope in her face as she pics it up but then her face falls and she drops to the floor. She throws the phone and starts crying. Keith walkes over to her again singin the chorus and at the last line he picks her up. He sits down in a chair with her and kisses her forehead as he says "yea, you're gonna be alright, you're not alone tonight". Then for the line "you can cry if you want to go on" she finally aknowledges him and puts her arms around his next crying into his shoulder as he rubs her back and thent he camera fades out.

[> How about "Homespun Love"? -- Feathers, 15:56:39 04/12/06 Wed [1]

Wouldn't it be silly to see Keith playing the part of the ultimate redneck (since he's so not), sittin' on his rusty trailer's front steps, gnawing on a chicken leg, flannel shirt flapping open, while some Daisy Duke wannabe has her upper torso engulfed by the front end of some beat-up ol' car (maybe an old Monte Carlo, or worse, an El Camino! LOL). Then later on, we can see the trailer swaying back and forth on it's cinderblocks with only barking dogs outside! LOL

[> Here's a few more... -- Feathers, 22:56:30 04/12/06 Wed [1]

1) "God's Been Good to Me" - I know he's got a slide show that he does on the big screen while he's playing in concert, but I'd like to see, aside from his adorable baby/kid pics, some images of him doing things like working with other songwriters, in the studio, being handed the first copy of his debut solo CD, stuff like that - all the little behind-the-scenes stuff that we don't usually see but that are all part of his everyday life as a rising star. And of course, shots of him winning the big awards, Horizon, MVotY'04, EotY'05, Grammy, etc. And maybe him on his bike and maybe a shot w/ Nicole.... All the things that remind him that God's been good to him.

2) "Song for Dad" - of course, this would be another bucket of nostalgia, but "historical" family photos of him and his dad could be interspersed with video of him playing the song, maybe sans guitar - just him and a microphone, and maybe a mirror, with an all-black background. And of course some great close up shots of his hands as he "taps his fingers on the table to the rhythm in his soul" and "jingles the car keys when he's ready to go".

3) "You'll Think of Me" - I love this video and the song (CD version), and wouldn't change much except this: I would do it at a house on a chilly, windswept beach. There are places in the recorded version where you can almost hear the shush of surf in the background. And instead of walking across a field at the end, I'd have him walking down a beach. The last few measures of the recorded version of the song - as it's winding down - sound a bit like the melancholy strains of Don Henly's "Boys of Summer". Very much a "winter beach" sound, IMO.
