I was working on barrels and my horse got hott headed, and started bucking like crazy, I went flyin. I did a flip through the air and landed on my head, then my neck, and my back. I could not get up, I seriously thought I was paralized. Thank God I wasnt, I was alright, just a bit sore the next morning. I am no stranger to being thrown. My horse is a brat. A really big nasty brat.

Well I have had some super bad falls.....One time I was on a cross country ride and my horse went nuts, reared up and slammed me against a tree, then threw me backwards against it and then I landed on my back, this horse was 18 hands and I'm 4'10, broke 3 ribs on that one I think. Then I had a horse turn a corner and traip over its own feet, crashing down on top of me, and there was the time when I fell going down a steep hill over a jump and I flipped over the front landed on my head then got stepped on.....wow looking back at these I often wonder, why the hell am I still doing this lol!

Wow that would be really bad for me and Im 5'4" and pretty solid. But it would be worse for little you, gosh those really had to hurt. It makes mine sound so unserious. Unfortunatly barrel racing is just as dangerous. The horses are all hot headed, and its just really dangerous. Last year @ a rodeo, a horse fell going around a barrel and shattered its leg, it had to be put down. The rider was OK. Then @ another one, during a run a horses bridle was slipping off so the rider leaned foward to fix it, the horse threw her and kicked her in the head on her way down. She wasn't wearing a helmet. When I look @ those people I wonder why Im getting so into something that could easily kill me. And My answer to myself it because I love it. Just Love It.
