The real bottom line quoted from the article is this.... "Cox Radio Stamford/Norwalk also reduced staff. The company removed the former Kool 96.7 on-air personalities....".

Both WKHL and WCBS-FM saved huge recurring expenses by firing everyone and switching to robo-music. Imagine if they fired 10 people with an average salary of $70,000. That's almost 3/4 of a million dollars in salary alone. Per Year! Add to that any paid benefits.
