I grew up in the late 60s and early 70s (grad hs in 73) in Essex Co, NJ, going with the underdog WNBC (before the NNNNNN too); actually got to interview Imus for a HS class project in 1972--his engineer, Jerry Flash Guardine, as I recall, was rather friendly, but the later to be I man was nasty and surly. Quite an experience though for a wide eyed suburban 16 year old! Lost two of Imus' albums in one move or another too.

I listened to ABC second, till 99X came along--loved Mike Wade, Rick Shaw... At the advice of a fellow college DJ, enjoyed Dan Ingram's last 6-7 yrs on WABC, too. Then CBS FM (though the signal stinks down here), MGQ, LTW, where I live now in southern Somerset County !

Now? My new Ipod with CBS FM an ABC jingles mixed in, and PLJ in the AM, and will go back to WMGQ New Brunswick and Lite FM after Xmas. And XM on AOL radio.

Thanks for asking!

PS: Anyone else notice LiteFM's new promos for "the station you sing along with?" And so it goes.
