Subject: I think you pretty much hit the nail on the head Bo because I ddi enjoy reading UTN but I didn't have much to say about it. I didn't really like the time travel because like I said earlier, it's hard to do well. It was interesting to see Mama Bear act like she did but I was cool with that because that's the interesting thing about books, when a character is in the background they seem so different then when they're in the forground and you see what they're really thinking and feeling (which is why the bad guy in one book makes such a great hero in the next one).
In reply to: Boadicea 's message, "I think it's b/c Were-hunter books seem less complex than DH books, even when SK's not tormenting us w/Ash tidbits. For me,UTN was exciting&intense, had a lot of action-but it's more a feeling of being "on the run" through the book, than getting in a down&dirty knife fight in an alley with some Daimons. Some of my fave scenes in DH books are the opening fights.I think I like them so much b/c they help me "see" the characters so much better.I liked UTN better than Night Play in many ways, but the time-travel was better,IMHO,in NP.Vane having to go to Dark-Age Britain was more interesting to me than Wren & Maggie going back 20 years or so.One thing I thought added good tension to the story was Mama Bear.More>>>" on 23:09:01 01/12/06 Thu

[> [> [> The time travel was okay for me. But I agree with Bo about the DH stories over WH so far. My favorites have been Dark-Hunters, but this is my favorite Were story so far. And, I too like it better than Sins of the Night. That was the least captivating for me so far. -- heatherl, 17:54:28 01/16/06 Mon [1]
