I think it's b/c Were-hunter books seem less complex than DH books,even when SK's not tormenting us w/Ash tidbits.For me,UTN was exciting&intense,had a lot of action-but it's more a feeling of being "on the run" through the book,than getting in a down&dirty knife fight in an alley with some Daimons.Some of my fave scenes in DH books are the opening fights.I think I like them so much b/c they help me "see" the characters so much better.I liked UTN better than Night Play in many ways,but the time-travel was better,IMHO,in NP.Vane having to go to Dark-Age Britain was more interesting to me than Wren & Maggie going back 20 years or so.One thing I thought added good tension to the story was Mama Bear.More>>> -- RBL Dark Hunter Board

I know a lot of people were/are shocked at how bitchy she was in UTN,such an about-face from previous books,but I think she had some great scenes that livened up the book.Even her scene with Aimee,the one where Aimee tells her she'll strike back if Mama hits her again,was a strong scene,IMHO.I was pi$$ed at Mama for it.but then I thought about bear behavior and it made sense to me
I'm thinking & hoping,plus crossing my fingers,that Fang & Aimee's book is going to be really good.And Dark Side of the Moon is looking like it might be another mind-blower like Seize the Night is.That's just the impression I get,from the hints on her site.I'm trying not to get too excited over it,b/c Sins did disappoint me a bit(I wanted a different ending & another a$$-kicker like Tabitha)but it's hard not to get anxious and greedy for it.*G*
