Hi Chalky,

Thanks for the advice mate � I did mention you to the nurses in Beano ward, but for some reason they all ran away, screaming.

Today I had my staples taken out, and a new cast put on � not too pleasant to say the least. I also got to see my foot for the first time in two weeks � it has a dirty great scar up the inside of the ankle, previously held together with some 13 staples. My entire foot has assumed several different shades of purple, fading to a puss yellow around the edges. It also stinks like a cheese factory.

Anyway, I still manage to stagger around the place on my crutches. My G.P. has given me the ticket for the next eight weeks�

I currently pass the time by shaping stand-up boards in my kitchen. My leg may be broken, but my mind still wants to go downdill� (Hang on, did that sound right?).

Take care mate, and I�ll challenge you to a crutch fight next time�
