Perhaps this will be the incentive to really get the BGSA up and running?
Personally. I don't think that sponsorship will work, yet, as we're just not big enough!!
What we need is a proper Executive Committee, with agreed rules for conducting its business, with Chair, Treasurer, Secretary and Members, that meets regularly somehere, and conducts its business in a professional manner, publishes minutes, has meeting agendas, etc, etc. A body that will take on the responsibilty needed to organise this worthwhile sport.
