Hi All/Chris
I feel I must defend myself a little after your posting (Chris). One your first point I did not at any time say I would find funding for this years event (you know this Chris)I did however ask for your permission to put it forward to various broadcasters to see if they 'bite'. The company I have worked for has lost thousands (at my pleading) trying to promote the sport as I feel it is worth it.
In a time where luging has dropped from various gravity sports meetings I would have thought the sport would be grateful for some publicity. Yes I know the programmes transmitted where not on prime time but they did get aired and no one else was prepared to take the risk.
I can't take being at the end of a slagging all the time - yes we didn't do certain things but we DID do a lot.
I'm really sorry about Aviemore this year and would have went (TV or not) as I enjoy the sport and the people who take part.
Good luck with your new tv company - I found out who they are and it looks like they are doing a Jackass type gravity sport programme - comedy luge - I don't think so!
I'm really sorry if you feel let down but as I say at least I tried!
Good luck with everything, I would still love to be involved but it looks unlikely, given what has been said. I will probably see you all at Traws sometime.
