Chris,

I understand Most guys are not going to plunk down the $300.00 for Disc brakes.

But if you are going to rule against disc brakes what about hydrolic brakes or hub brakes wich are also expensive. Since brakes have nothing to do with speed where do you draw the line as to how good the brakes can be. There are disc brake setups that cost less than Hydrolic press rim brakes.

Will Hydrolic Rim brakes be acceptable. And if so why is this system Ok and Disc brakes not ok. There are companies that make disc brake adapters for mounting on a standard bike. Like the Brake Therapy Bar made to mount a disc brake from the exsisting brake posts.

We have brought up this subject on the GravityBike.com message board but most riders voted to not put limits on safety features that do not add to speed. I felt that if a guy wants to spend the money to be just that much safer why limit him from doing so. Especially when talking about the only thing that stops these speeding beasts.LOL

I don't wish to beat a dead horse. I just wanted to make a few points. Perhaps you guys had not thought of.

Thanks for letting me be a part of this discussion.

PS. Chris can you send me the official dates for the BGSA events so I can begin to advertise them. That would be great. Thanks.

Mad Mac
