I'll find out if it's possible to store a trailer on site, covered in black polythene held down with tyres. I'll also find out if haulage compaines are prepared to pull a trailer that doesn't belong to them and if they have anything suitable for sale at a reasonable price. This would enable us to move the bales around the country quickly and hopefully quite cheaply. If we could arrange short term storage at each venue, this would mean that the bales could go direct to each race avoiding an extra journey to a central storage area, further reducing costs!

Main downside to hiring bales is that should it rain on them, they'll cost a lot more due to them becoming less usefull to the farmer(only useful as bedding, not feeding). This is on top of us getting wet!

I've asked dad (cos previously I didn't have internet access) to sort out my BGSA membership but I'm not sure that I'm yet a member. Would welcome their involvment, expertese and insurance. I'll try and arrange a date when we can have a (slow) test run down the hill. Will keep everyone informed.
Great idea of getting the pics, Joel. I'd never thought of that....
