We're hoping for a similar turn-out to the Dalby event last autumn, plus the course has metal armco in places(and we know how competetive we can get). Yeah, we need bales. I've made in-direct contact with a Halifax based straw merchant who may be able to supply and deliver approximately 700 Rye straw bales(softer than barley, and a bit cheaper), for around £700! Will hopefully get some feedback from him regarding movement in the future from one venue to another. If I can get consent to store the bales on site, stacked on pallets for ventilation, they should keep for up to a year.
