Subject: She let out a soft breath, stepping close to him as she reached out gently. "Gavin...just let me in, love, my heart..I want to help you through your pain..." She murmured softly, hating that he wouldn't let her comfort him, hold him because he was to damn proud to let her see his weaknesses. It was ridiculous. She loved him enough to marry him, to raise his child as her own, to take over being the acting Princess of Scotland and he thought that his tears would make her love him less? She just didn't understand the way his mind worked in the least sometimes...

  • (It was her soft words and the comfort that she offered that had him breaking down just then.. he just couldn't keep the pain inside anymore and realized that he did, and could, need her. As though he couldn't hold himself up anymore under the weight of his pain, he just sort of reached for her and blindly pressed his face against her neck as he held her.. he hadn't saught comfort from anyone since the death of his mother, but with Nellie he felt like he finally could.)
