As though he couldn't hold himself up anymore under the weight of his pain, he just sort of reached for her and blindly pressed his face against her neck as he held her.. he hadn't saught comfort from anyone since the death of his mother, but with Nellie he felt like he finally could.)

  • She sighed deeply, holding onto him for a long moment before she guided him over to the couch to sit down, her arms going around him as she let him slouch down and bury his damp face in her chest. Her hands soothed over his hair as she murmured encouraging and loving words to him, just quieting and calming him as best as she could while still allowing him to have his moment. She wasn't glad that he had to go through this but she was glad that he was letting it out finally, if he had continued on the way he was going she thought that perhaps he would have all together pretty much forgotten he even had a family to care for...
