He let out a low breath, nodding seriously as he turned his eyes back to the road and focused on getting them to the hospital. He didn't really know these people very well, he wasn't that close to them but he already felt somewhat of a connection and he felt the need to protect them with everything he had within him. It was his nature to protect people, to give up his own comfort, everything he had, to protect human life, any human life really but especially those in which he felt some sort of investment in, whether it be emotional or professional. Before long he was pulling into the hospital but when he looked down at the girl in his partner's arms he was a little worried that it might be to late. About four minutes into the ride it was like her body just gave up and finally ran away from the pain. She had been tense but suddenly her body just went lax and her eyes closed. There was barely a pulse to be found and her breath was coming in low and sporadic spurts and when she did inhale it barely even shifted her chest, the intakes were that shallow. She was just dead weight in Kyr's arms and her skin was taking on a grayish palor.. He wasn't thinking about Gia at the moment, he was just honestly thinking that things would have been so different if he had just met Courtney at a different time in his life. His hand shifted to run over her back gently, cuddling her close to him as he pressed a soft kiss to the top of her head, over her hair. "You sure your up for going in again tomorrow?" He questioned, cocking a brow lightly as he looked down at her. "You won't be able to take a pain pill...otherwise you'll be even more off your game..." he frowned a little as he thought about it "...but if you don't take a pill you will be in pain and distracted too.."
