So he was a little bitter about that, he had been two feet away from totally falling for Haylie and he never would have hurt her the way Kyrian did. Never. So he still felt he could have been the better man for her but he somehow lost out on that and it was a bitter pill to swallow, especially when he had watched Kyrian slowly destroy the warmth and tenderness that he had actually brought out in Haylie. When they had first gotten together he had accepted it because she was happy, she was finally displaying some emotion and some passion outside of work and he had credited Kyrian for that but now he also credited Kyrian for tearing it all away. It would have been easier on the girl to have never experienced love and affection then to have had it and then had it so cruelly ripped away from her.
