And I am not so sure this is politically motivated anymore.. it just doesn't fit that someone inside the agency would focus so much time and energy coming after me when they could have simply killed Shay by putting something in <i>her</i> drink at the restaurant that night. I think there is a lot more to this than meets the eye. (He tensed as his muscles complained, but ignored it to keep his mind focused.)
