(He was more than content to sit with her while she slept, and more than a little disappointed to be at their destination so soon, but he had to admit that a cigarette and a stretch sounded wonderful.) Yeah.. you were tired. (He said softly as he got up behind her, groaning a bit as his muscles stretched and complained as the rest of him tried to compensate for the pain he was in. He returned her kiss happily, laying his hand on her arm as the walked off the bus and located a rental facility close by. At the counter he called Skeeter and let the other man in on what was going on with the case, asking him to make the reservations for the car for them under another name so that it would all be under wraps. The two men talked for a long moment as he stood outside, smoking his cigarette and sweating a little in the southern heat.) Thanks Skeet.. (He murmured at last, reading off the reservation number for Haylie.. they had a car waiting for them now. He slipped the phone into his pocket and led the way inside, dropping his spent cigarette into the sand filled tray.) Remind me to try and be jovial with him next time he hits on you in front of me.. and I repeat the word 'try'. (He said as they walked in, taking her hand in his as they approached the counter.) Reservation for Katherine and Jack Schaeffer. (He said, looking over at his 'wife' with a smile as the keys were retreived.. it was good having their own inside man.. and he did trust Skeeter as much as he didn't like his behavior when it came to Haylie.)
