It was a ridiculous question because at no time did I even suggest such a thing. Also, regarding the tardiness of busses due to transfer students, if you will reread my response you will notice that I did not blame the private school busing as the sole reason that busses were late. Your particular child may not be affecting the bus routes but there are many transfer children that are. I absolutely agree with you in all the factors that you stated I said that it was one reason. And if you call the bus company, which I did, that is one of the biggest reasons they give for the difficulty in the bus schedules. If in fact the towns you've listed bus their private school students, as well then I apologize for the incorrect statement however, my information came from the bus company themselves.

I really must go back to your suggestion that your child cannot attend town events or play town sports because he/she attends a private school. I really think you're reaching with that comment because in no way did I even suggest such a thing. We were talking about bus issues with regard to where you're child attends school and I stand by my statement that if your child attends public school then they should use the public school busses. If you child attends private schools then they should use private transportation. Another thought on that vein--if I use your logic then perhaps we should supply your child with books and supplies, after all you did pay your taxes even though you're saving classroom space. As I said we will have to agree to disagree on this issue. And I knew you were going to make me regret the unapproved street comment(I did clearly state that I was using it as an example and I thank you in advance for your assistance at town meeting.) One more thought to our school committee--perhaps a couple more busses! The new revised bus schedule is out and believe me improved it is not! We now have children who will be picked up at their houses at 6:55 am to be delivered to the Englesby at 7:50 am. Children on a bus for an hour??!!?? What genius came up with this plan--I bet you wouldn't put your child on that bus. And by the way Donna--the reason given for the early start--the transfer kids.
