Susan,
Let's get together to see what we can drum up. I understand your position fully. While many of my neighbors complain about the speeding, none want to take the time and effort to make changes. No one wants to be seen as "troublemaker, elitist, complainer," etc. I also drive remembering that children are just that, children, little people learning about the world through their mistakes. We all know it takes two seconds for a parent to get distracted and BANG, out in the street the kid went. No one is immune to this and it doesn't make them a bad parent. It's sad that it takes a tragic event to start the momentum of change. We are all responsible to watch out for the children in our community. I also agree that you are only one woman trying to move a mountain but in a previous posting, someone wanted to join your meeting and add their road to the list and you declined. I think that set the tone for people to see you as only watching out for Marsh Hill and the hell with the rest of us. Let's try to get a group of concerned citizens together and brainstorm. There is power in numbers and many voices to be heard.
Stephanie
