The only thing you are blinded by is the hills that separate New York from Dracut. I see that you are putting the refresh icon to heavy use as you await any discussion that contains the power plant.

Thanks for you concern Ed. It is greatly appreciated.

The message was imposed to the people of Dracut to get their thoughts. I understand you are heavy hearted on the issue, and have supplied information to support the power plant. But while you sit there in New York, let the middle class folk that live in Dracut decide what they feel could be in the best interest of Dracut. Now let’s remember, with the money coming from a power plant, it is in payments over twenty years. I am sure in that time if the plant was not in Dracut, we could turn it around. By all means, we do have a budget wizard as a Town Manager. Let’s not forget that the money from the plant hasn’t been counted on from the town on planning the budgets. Put the plant in and that is money they will be counting on. With the insecurity the power plant people have shown in the past few months, I do not think the plant is a risk we should take. It is a business, and a business can pull out faster then they can pull in. Then what? Dracut will be left with a ugly site and empty pockets.

You say taxes will increase. I say it will be a wash. Property values will drop with the power plant residing in Dracut. From the sewage treatment plant to the nuclear facility, then add the power plant and Dracut would be a great place to live.
