First of all, I do not have all the answers. I will gladly admit that. I don’t feel I was bad mouthing business. I will say I work on the business side and have plenty of knowledge to make certain statements.

As it stands with the sharp downturn on the economy in this period of time, I would question certain business proposals for Dracut. I will admit that a power plant would be a more stable income for Dracut then a park full of technology companies. Foreclosures are sharply rising, and the jobless rate is starting to bloom like a wild bed of roses. So, how much growth in the near future will Dracut experience? It is just a matter of time before the builders of the area realize that their over priced homes may not sell quickly enough for them to recover. Sales of pre-owned homes have also dropped. The economy was great and everyone went out and spent. Now it is becoming a WHOA what did I just do? Did I buy something I cannot afford when the economy slumps? That is what we are seeing. That is what I was pointing out. If you want to take it as bad mouthing, then that is fine by me. But it is reality!

I sit there and laugh watching and reading reports from high priced analyst. They don’t even know when the economy will take a turn for the better. Inventories have dropped a bit, but are still high. Orders are just running that fine line. The serious investors are sitting there waiting for the big payday ten years down the road. They are the ones out there window shopping while the mid to low investors are pulling out into the safety zone and getting little in return. What they should be doing is researching and discovering where the next big thing will happen, and do a little window-shopping themselves.

My stance will be more defined in my reply to Dennis Williams.
