Naturally, you have done it again. Made me belly laugh. So I sense a soft spot in you. You may be abrupt in some of your postings, but most certainly speak your mind. I'm glad when push comes to shove, you still have a tender spot for Dracut in your heart. To Mark, you most certainly are entitled to your criteria for a perfect town. I have resided in Dracut since 1987 and have seen the winds blow many directions. I can sincerely say, Dracut isn't such a bad place to live. I visit my home town of Saugus on a weekly basis to vist with family. If you want one heck of a traffic jam, a mall, a brand new library with no parking, 10,000 sq ft. lots being the average, then there's a place for you. You could by a little house on a little lot (a handyman fixer-upper) for a meagher $250,000. I wouldn't give it another thought, if you can afford to purchase a house in Dracut that meets your needs, go for it. Did I mention that Saugus has RESCO, a trash incinerator! Oh yeah, Andover has one of those too. Personally, I'll stick with the cows, horses, goats, lamas, etc. You've probably taken them for granted. I'll take The Chocolate Moose vs. the Square One Mall anyday. I'm sure there are equally as rural and quaint towns as Dracut. If thats not your bag, head South.
