Subject: It's All Down Hill From Here!

I smell a repeat incident coming up like the one that transpired in Billerica. You know, the one where Billerica had a mudslide from a hill that had $500,000 homes on top of it. The area where the developer rearranged the landscaping that made it unstable. What a nightmare of a mess that is. To top it off, you have a house atop of the hill just yards away from taking a one-way trip down the hill.

Dracut seems to be the next area to be hit by such an incident. I took a ride out by the Summer Hill development to check out the new houses. What caught my eye was the quick deterioration of the land that these houses sit on. I counted three new houses atop of the hill that the back of them where basically sitting on a very steep hill. When I took a drive onto Autumn Rd. to see what the run off looked like, I was amazed that something had not already taken place. The land has deteriorated quickly since the last time I was out there. That was about six months ago. There is a new house that is being built, and you can actually see the land coming out from under the foundation.

How long before we see a tragic accident up there?
