DUH, that's exactly one of the points that was discussed during our meeting with the Dracut Police. If people would show the same level of respect in other people's neighborhoods as they expect in there own, we wouldn't have a problem, would we? I can put your mind at ease when I say the residents up here that are complaining, are alert and aware of the speed limits in other parts of our town. We most certainly don't want to be accused of not practicing what we preach! My only fear is that it is going to take a tragic or fatal accident up here before people open their eyes and realize "SPEED KILLS". It's a reality that Dracut's rural attributes (i.e., narrow winding country roads) are not condusive to the growing population in this town. Our infostructure is rural, most of our "main" streets and cut-throughs like Marsh Hill and Old Marsh hill don't afford pedestrian safety: no shoulder on the road and no side walks. I welcome anyone who drives this road on a daily basis to come for a leisurly walk during lets say 4:00pm to 7:00pm. P.S. hope you have a good insurance policy!! Sorry to vent, but frustration can get the best of me. Hope to swap some ideas out here. Anyone know about Radar/video surveillance systems?
