Michael, Michael, Michael....I too credit the men and women who choose to put on the uniform and serve as "protectors of the people" but, let's remember, no one put a gun to their heads and told them to be police officers. This is their chosen field and to whine about the uniform being too hot....c'mon Michael..please! If they can't handle the traffic detail and do it well then maybe they're in the wrong line of work. Maybe they should get jobs on the road crew instead because they're spending more time talking to them than directing traffic as they're being paid to do. Oh wait, that means wearing heavy denim jeans, and steel toe boots, and those big heavy hard hats, and maybe even (heaven forbid) a tool belt. Whew!

Let's face it, we all have complaints about our jobs but that doesn't mean we should slack off when it comes to doing those portions of our jobs we don't like.

And what the heck (and I use heck only because this is the monitored site) does a cell phone have to do with anything? Are you judging me because of the way I write out here? Are you profiling me as some kind of uncaring, insensitive, office type? Well, I am, but that's irrelevant to this conversation. Careful or I might tell you to put down your copy of Soldier of Fortune and your Budweiser, and turn off the WWF.
