It might not be her fault for not knowing about what was going to happen. Going from my own experience, I can attest for this.

9 years ago, we bought a house, built by the infamous Peter Criconis. Behind me was a beautiful wooded area. Now, I was "promised", both from the real estate agent, and the wonderful developer, that there was a street going in behind me, but I would never see it! They would put the houses down low, and leave the trees as buffers. I talked to the building inspecter, then P. Gaudette, and he assured me that they would not allow all the trees to be taken. We bought the house.

6 months later, EVERY TREE was cut down..EVERY ONE. The houses were not down where I could not see them, but abutting my back yard!! I am very lucky they are good neighbors, but had I known that I would be living in Lowell, I never would have bought the house. I wanted the woodsy look of Dracut, not the city look of Lowell.

Sometimes, in order to sell a house, lies are told. They deny the lies, but they are told anyway. Not only was I misinformed about A street being built so close to my home, but I was also informed that the issue of my plot plan not being certified was okay. Who would have thought that the THEN building inspector would be replaced, and a new one come in with new rules..now, they are telling all of us we need surveys done in order to do ANY changes to our homes!

Anyone know how expensive a survey is, for a working, non-yuppy family here in Dracut? Not to mention that the old surveyor is dead, and the ones that took over are having a hard time figuring out the plots and their areas.

So, sometimes ignorance is not that of the new home owner, but the misinformation given to the new home owner. We ask questions, but most are evaded with innuendo's.

Or, atleast this is what happened to me. Only good thing that came out of all of this is, I now have a view of the Lake, since even the trees on the OTHER side of the street were all cut down.

Thanks for listening.
