I also, live in the vicinity of the proposed Nickel Hill
Plant and the Epsilon charts provided to us do indeed
show two stacks on the visual representation figure
4.9-0 dated April 1,1999.I ALSO THOUGHT there would
be two stacks located at the end of Rinzee Rd.I somehow
don't feel a sense of relief however when presented with
only one stack!!!!!The visual impact is still there and
still a reality regardless of whether or not the plume
is steam or smoke. Also, upon investigation the character
of noise that will emit from the plant is unclear----
and unfortunately for the local residents the occasional
phenomenon known as steam blows(which are short bursts
of very loud noises that sound like a jet engine running
across your roof)were unknown until recently. If the plant
is built I'm sure that there are many more surprises to
come.
