I definitely agree with your stand on the topic. I guess it all depends on how you were brought up, poor or rich. I completely agree that the people of Brazil should look at the ethics and morality of the candidates because these morals will affect how they run the country, and the fact that there are scandals represents that maybe the country isn't in their best interests. But based on what da Silva has done for the less fortunate people, my vote would probably go for him. You stated your opinion very well, I might add.
