Irish Dance Families Off Topic Board
Welcome to the new board! Let us all strive for a polite board open to discussing topics other than Irish Dance (although a bit of that will work in, I expect). Anything that you wouldn't say in front of your Mother shouldn't be said here. Unfortunately there can be no discussion of politics on this board. We have tried and there are those among us who cannot treat this subject with civility and politeness; because of that all of us are being punished for the actions of a few.

Last year, my siblings (all married with kids) and my parents started a tradition of going out as a family for a dinner/drinks with out our significant others. -- More inside 1st post, 12:54:01 11/06/09 Fri [18]

So I just got married to a wonderful man who doesnt have the most wonderful eating habits. I mean he eats ok but there's definitely room for improvement. Me on the other hand is natural, organic etc extreme. I don't eat dairy or wheat and sometimes stay away from gluten.

My healthy alternatives he doesn't like. For example I'll buy organic chicken wings and make my own sauce or use a brand that's somewhat healthy but he doesnt like it. Or I'll make homemade chicken fingers, or turkey lasagna instead of beef.

Do I cook him what he likes and me my stuff or if he doesnt like he makes his own. I've done the cooking and I'm fine with that but I'm not so fine with making him unhealthy foods. I can't even buy him coke at the store!

What to do, what to do!!?!?!

Kid has straight Bs, ACTs between 21-24, 9 time World qualifier, teacher assistant, community leader, and 2 siblings already in college. Is there any hope for a scholarship? Do we make too much? Seems you have to be poor or have amazing grades to get $.

bc I know we have discussed books before but did not come up with a non fiction. She does not love to read so it needs to be pretty interesting and as close to novel like as possible. Any thoughts?
