Eli Stanton plays the villian "Tony Macaroni, a Wop Eskimo." Fanny Kelly is not a bathing girl in this film, she is a short & stocky townsfolk character resembling Kate Price.

Just read that the creator of the best British tv sitcom ever, Only Fools And Horses John Sullivan, has died after a short illness.

R.I.P. John, you are a legend to all us British tv viewers of the 1980s-1990s. Thank you for giving this country something so special to laugh about and love with all our hearts. Your creative talent was a credit to the British television industry.

Just a few observations which i think will improve the front page. The site introduction - Aveleyman - Our ambition is to get one screengrab per film per person for, well, everyone.
From the very famous right the way along to the very obscure, and everybody inbetween. This is where we are up to.....
Comments, suggestions, requests, bouquets or brickbats send to: wearysloth@yahoo.com OR use the Aveleyman Forum - is a bit lost down the page now in amongst all the updates. I think that would be a lot better off near the top along with the Aveleyman Crew link above the red line.

Also i think the words latest & update are important words on the front page of a website so instead of just Now Showing it could be something like Now Showing - Latest Updates.

Just a few considerations for the boss & under boss.

If there's one thing i love about this place it's the fact that as well as all the modern stuff that gets updated it's the old classics as well like Laurel & Hardy from the 20's & 30's but my all time favourite apart from L & H is Charlie Chaplin but there isn't much done on him yet. Is there any CC in waiting?

With all the new visitors coming here i think it would be a good idea to grow this site further by getting a proper message board which people can join and it tells you how many members there are so you can see how much the site is growing & how many posts & threads there are.

Apart from the excellent site itself it would give people another reason to come back. You can have different sections like Films, Sport, Entertainment etc. People could then submit pictures via the message board & make new friends and submit corrections etc. Below are just 2 examples of the boards that i post on.

This is the current share of hits for the following categories:

31% ACTORS
14% FILMS

*viewing figures based on the Top 20 viewed of each section at time of this information.
Top 20 Actors combined = 9,531 hits
Top 20 Movies combined = 4,288 hits
Top 20 TV combined = 16,727 hits
(Total 30,546 hits from 60 links)

It would appear that the viewers are more interested in looking at tv-related material than they are at movies, which is a (pleasant) shock.

I noticed recently that two contributors now have pages of their own on this site so i thought it might be a good idea on the bottom of the front page where all the links are to have a new link, something like for example The Aveleyman Team, and on that page a brief description of who works at Aveleyman followed by the link to their page so it is all in one place and easier to find so people can see the faces behind all the good work that goes on here something like

i was thinking maybe you should do Adam Sandler's movie set the way you did Clint. 1 he works with alot of the same actors more then once so by doing him youd be working off other actors/actresses as well. 2 he has started with the most top starlets. Just a thought is all.

As this Sunday's Academy Awards ceremony draws ever closer, I would like to nominate 127 Hours as the potential Best Picture winner. There are of course other very good films to choose from in the category but I predict this will be the winner.

Also, I have just seen the screencaps provided by Patrick for Is Paris Burning? and I have to say I am very impressed! Great work there my friend. This work should be published on the site within a couple of hours.

Hello all, just wanted to draw your attention to a mistake in The Burning (video nasties) cast. The photos for Sarah Chodoff and Bonnie Derosky are of the same girl. Sarah Chodoff is the girl in both photos.

I caught an episode of this show and thought it was quite fun and better than its peer group (Burns & Allen, The Lucy Show) mostly courtesy of Betty White's impish cutie.

Good grief what a resume that lady has.

Although episodes are available on DVD in public domain too, tracking down an episode guide has proved...tricky.

The show originally ran on California's KLAC channel but became syndicated (sold to other networks) circa Oct 1953.

My question is were these the same episodes + new shows or were the KLAC shows remade?
