You say you welcome good ol' fashion conversation or debatin', but most of those posts were debating, they were people making conversation and expressing how they felt. I will say though that I thought the most interesting part of your pretentious, self-absorbed site was that it was working and getting people involved. And then you got all hypersensitive and took everything so personally. You can't handle free speech. You have all your preconcieved notions of what that should be. You need to look into yourself. Call me a hypocrite. If you notice, in the guestbook, the conversations I had with the people I knew that were messing with me are still there. The people using the names Rob Base and Rodney were people that I knew but did not reveal themselves to me. At least one of them meant me ill. I kept them up on the site. Even though I have found the people behind them to be the one's messing with me, I left them up. All personal info and all attacks on me personally, and all personal debate, have been taken down. Too bad. As long as people come to me and honestly debate the site or other topics, then I will leave the posts up. If they want to call me a hypocrite, they had better do it with evidence from the site. The posts calling me a hypocrite I took down becuase I found out that the people doing the posting, at least one or two of them, I had known before and they had a grudge with me. Thus, they had personal motives for attacking me. I will discuss the probably pretention of the site or myself if the debate is legitimate. This is the last time I am going to justify myself. I even took into account the words of my attackers, and have tried to evaluate the site's content and have actually made some changes where the text, perhaps written hastily by yers trooly, DID indeed sound a bit on the pompous side. And I responded to him and had an good debate with him, albeit a tense one. And I even took his thoughts into consideration and looked over my text and even made some changes. If I came off as pompous, it was not meant as such. I have changed the text that upon review did sound a bit high and mighty. Sorry. I wrote the original text as best I could, but some of it was rushed due to time constraints on my part. I DO have other things to do in life rather than this site. I finally had the time to go over the text again, and tuned things up a bit. But even so, what some considered pompous, I considered idealistic. [ Post a Reply to This Message ]

If they did not have this notion, there would be no notion of free speech. Thats what it is, everyone having there own Idea of what should and should not be allowed to be stated. How is this escaping you? You obviously have a notion of what free soeech is, and it apparently came to you before you wrote this message, so guess what, you haev a preconceived notion of what free speech is. I mean, why do you think this concept was put into our laws? It is a mediator, something to allow the government to stop some of the things said in the media, in public, whatever. When the government oversteps it bounds the system puts it in check. Soemtimes it fails, ususally it works. But whatever the circumstances, it pushes forward because people have these notions of what the first amendment should mean. Oh, by the way, it is a long standing legal precedent that slander and libel are not protected under the first amendment. Think of this as you, predictably will, continue this line of criticsm. That aside, personal insults, especially those thrown at signficant others are childish, petty, mean and a sign of a sloppy/immature mind. So, if you feel the need, keep trying to get your free speech on this site. Just make sure you avoid those "preconceived notions" that you hate so much. [ Post a Reply to This Message ]
