Subject: ACCEPTANCE OF ENTRIES

17.1.1. Entries for solo competitions must not be accepted other than thoase of pupils taught by persons currently registered with An Coimisiún as Dancing Teachers (TCRG), Temporary Teachers or Fómhúinteoirí (Associate Teachers).

17.1.2. Entries for team competitions must not be accepted other than from persons currently registered with An Coimisiún as Dancing Teachers (TCRG). Temporary Teachers, Teamdancing Teachers (TMRF) or Fómhúinteoirí apart from the exception provided for in Rule 17.1.3. below.

17.1.3. Entries for team competitions for teams of four or more dancers and having a minimum age limit of 16 years may be accepted from Cumainn currently registered with An Coimisiún even where such teams are not taught by registered teachers, but in such cases all team members must be over the age of 16 years and be registered with An Coimisiún.

17.1.4. A pupil must not be entered for any registered competition where the pupil is currently under suspension from competitions because of the transfer rule or any other rule of the organisation except in exceptional circumstances.

17.2.1. Unless An Coimisiún or the Regional Authority otherwise permits, organisers may not accept entries not sanctioned by the competitors´ teachers or, in the case of an entry under rule 17.1.3. or by an authorised officer of the Cumann. Competition organisers at their own discretion may require that entries be in writing and signed by the teacher. An Coimisiún may also direct accordingly in particular cases.
