Sorry but I didn't start this. The guy who wanted to impose a Geoduck industry for 30 yrs (come hell or high water) isn't even from Cortes. When many people brought up legitimate arguments against the idea he went nuts and basically said that he'd be suing our asses until we were fucking broke !!! Nice guy or what ?!?!
Talk about thinking only of yourself...that's what this guy ( I won't even mention his name) was doing. His threats are on the record in back issues of the Discovery Islander. His threats were VERY offensive and insulting to actual residents of Cortes. I'd say that the issue is dead. The shellfish industry already has co-opted much of the seashore around Cortes not to mention littering the Gorge with rafts. Enough is enough. Your whining about people having to make a living just doesn't cut it. There are lots of ways to make a livng and Cortes doesn't have to bend over backwards so you can. If that makes me a preservationist then so be it !!!
