Hi there Contemplating Tom. Great to hear that things are going well. Your friend is in a deep depression and may still trying to deal with a curtain predicument. In a funk is what I would say too. I hope that he can break out of the funk soon. Life is too short to let anyone or thing interrupt one's life. Maybe if he saw a Phychiatrist, just maybe that might help. It sounds like he's not one to open up very easily but if he can do it just during sessions with a Doctor, then maybe he could see that he doesn't have to stay in this funk.

Great question. The different colors do represent different meanings such as different elements that reprsent life: Air which is yellow and orange, Earth which is green and brown, Fire which is red and orange, Water which is blue and green. Then there are other colors that represent healing, health, prosperity, fertility, and so on. The same colors we use in candles is used to color eggs.

In old Pagan times the eggs were decorated, blessed, and depending on ones need a spell would be put on the egg. So lets say that a neighbor is having trouble with health, then I would make a blue egg, bless the egg with the elements and then a spell/magick would be perform on that egg so when that neighbor opens the door and finds that egg...well it is a good luck egg that should enchance his/her health. Pretty neat huh. Or maybe a neighbor who wants kids badly but is having trouble with fertility, then I'd do a green egg with a little brown, bless it, and do magick with the egg to enhance fertility.

With the eggs people would also include in a basket some home-made foods, an amulet, or put in herbs to help with a specific aliment.

Blessed Be,

~Autumn
