Subject: Another Sabbat is fast approaching...
Author: Anonymous [ Edit | View ] |
Date Posted: 15:35:22 10/16/09 Fri Samhain, the second oldest holiday which is currently over 6,000 years old. This sabbat is also known as: Halloween, All Hallows Eve, Hallowmass, Ancestor Night, Feast of the Dead, Old Hallowmas, as well as many other names. In tradition this sabbat is celebrated when the Sun is at 15 degrees Scorpio which is usually Nov.7. This year the Sun will be at 15 degree Scorpio Nov. 7 at 1:12 p.m. Yet others celebrate this sabbat on Halloween or on the full Moon in October, which this year is Oct. 26. Samhain marks the beginning of the Celtic New Year and today many Celtic Pagans observe Samhain as the renewal of the Wheel of the Year. For Pagans this is the night that the old God dies, returning to the land of the dead to await rebirth at Yule, and a time when the Crone Goddess would go into mourning for her lost consort, leaving her people in temporary darkness. Celtic Pagans believe that the veil between the world of the living and that of the dead is at its thinnest on this night, and the spirits of our loved ones walk the Earth visiting family and friends as well as joining in the ritual celebrations. This is why its been said that Samhain is the prime time for any type of spirit contact rituals. The feeding of the dead is a widespread practice, even today in modern Celtic Lands. In Scotland,Ireland, and other places food is always left out for these spirit travelers and candles are placed in windows to guide them a long their way, hence these were the origins of the modern Halloween customs of the Jack O' lantern and trick-or-treat. This is my favorite time of year. And yes, to this day I still love to carve pumpkins and bake the seeds from what is now my piece of art. This is the time to think about next year and what I want to happen or change. This is why the primary focus of this sabbat is all about transforamtion, divination, regeneration, honoring loved ones that have crossed over, honoring the harvest(since this is the third and final harvest of season) and preparing for the Winter season that awaits us. This is a great sabbat for the entire family to get involved with. A huge supper is made for the sabbat along with some goodies, pumkins can be picked at the pumpkin patches, then pumpkins can be craved and or decorated any way ones wants too, make homemade brooms, make center pieces and wreaths for doors, apple cider with cinnamon can be made to shake off the cold, costumes can be made or bought if one chooses to wear one, games are played-most famous is the apple dunking, ghost in the grave yard, dancing, playing tricks on one another and eating treats until bellies get upset, lighting the bonfire and the ritual begins. Cauldron, Jack O' Lantern, Balefire, Mask, besom/broom, the color orange and black are all symbolic to Samhain. Herbs and items used for Samhain are: oak leaves, acorns, apples, pumpkins, straw, sage, heather, mullein, and patchouli. Have a great & safe Samhain & enjoy the trick or treating of the season! Subject: Well I'm in appleton........
Author: Anonymous [ Edit | View ] |
Date Posted: 10:45:06 09/03/09 Thu I am moved to Appleton....but it hasn't been a smooth ride. My dog, Shane had an ear infection so I took him to the vet for it, and for his hips, and then today...after he ate he got sick. I just thought he was not feeling well, no big deal, so I just left him alone. Hours later he still was laying on the floor, breathing raggedly. Finally, I'm embarassed to admit...my mom tells me to call a vet, but it's Saturday so I'm thinking...whose going to be available. He was looking so bad by this time (9pm) that I called and they said to bring him in. I knew it was going to be expensive and I'm tapped out right now, but I decided to bring him in. I had to carry him (with some help) to the car and he was breathing really shallow. I realized how desparate the situation was. I drove him to the animal hospital and seconds before I pulled up I realized he wasn't breathing. I knew he was gone. They told me he died from eating too fast and his intestines could've twisted or something like that. His stomach was distended. I feel a little guilty that I didn't respond quicker, but I also know I may have had to euthenize him anyway. It would've costed $1000's of dollars to put him in the hospital and do surgery. Anyway, that is my sad tale. I'm in shock over it. I'm getting his ashes brought to me in a couple of weeks. Shane has been with me for 11 years. It's awful that this had to happen before I even got settled here. I think he would've liked it here. I will not get another pet, however, until I have my own home because apartment living is too hard. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Do not be surprised if you have faulty communication at work or home, computers crashing, car trouble, electrical problems, and traveling mishaps. This is a frustrating time to travel and to communicate and make decisions. Hope all is well with everyone. xoxoxoxo L & Boo [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Subject: All about Virgo + Starcast & Astrolesson
Author: Anonymous [ Edit | View ] |
Date Posted: 02:55:51 08/23/09 Sun ** All about Virgo Virgo has been called picky and critical for far too long. Well, here's where it ends. This sign's certainly into details -- there's no doubt about that. But that doesn't mean that these idealistic, humble folks don't care about others; in fact, it really means that they care so much about helping everyone look, sound and be their best that they're willing to risk coming off as 'picky' or 'critical' to do it -- which is quite a generous sacrifice. Truth be told, however, Virgo's good at sacrifice, and at making lemonade out of lemons. These extremely tender hearts are always willing to help, and their sharp focus allows them to take charge of even the toughest situation. So if you're a Virgo yourself, you know that when you're that good at grasping particulars, it's quite natural to see flaws -- hence that reputation for being nitpicky. But if it weren't for you, the rest of us would miss the trees for the forest, so don't ever let anyone put you down for your keen eye! We all need troubleshooters in our lives, people who are able to see the potential problems in a situation before they develop -- and that's definitely Virgo. So get out there and find one of these meticulous folks; enjoy a lesson in careful observation and tell your pal that their ability to appreciate minutiae really is precious. When it comes to relationships, Virgo is as devoted as a sign can possibly be. These sincere souls are willing to do whatever it takes, whenever it's needed, to let their beloveds know just how dear they are. And if you're close to a Virgo, you can attest to the fact that they're the proud bearer of one of the keenest wits in the entire zodiac, thanks to that sharp eye and those quick, accurate comments. As a partner, this sign's as faithful as they come -- like all the earth signs. (Don't forget: Being earthy, after all, means that Virgo was given the gift of fully appreciating the sense of touch and the importance of closeness.) So don't hesitate to reach out and touch a Virgo you know and love -- and let them know how valuable they are to you. ** Your Starcast for August 22 to September 21 As the Sun enters analytical Virgo, you'll be able to accomplish more during this solar period than any other time. But you'll need to watch for twists and turns, because the aspect patterns are quite complicated now. Get ready for intense negotiations when warrior Mars enters emotional Cancer and Mercury enters lets-agree Libra on August 25. The square between Mars and Mercury on the same day is a bit cantankerous. Venus enters Leo on the 26th and forms a quincunx on the same day. Even though you would love a festive atmosphere, it's just not in the cards or planets! Mercury squares Pluto and Mars opposes Pluto at the same time, and that much intensity and disagreement will dominate any occasion. Stay out of the fray if at all possible. Because Mercury is moving at a snail's pace getting ready to turn retrograde, the challenging square to Mars on September 3 continues to dominate all interactions. That sensitivity is heightened with the full Moon in Pisces on September 4. Then, Mercury turns retrograde on September 6 and you'll go back over discussions and negotiations that have been going on since August. Powerful Pluto turns direct on September 11, adding to the intensity of this time period. On September 12 when Saturn and Neptune form a quincunx aspect, it's time to get clarity on the difference between your fantasies and your dreams. Saturn opposes Uranus on September 15 with a message: Change! The Sun joins this opposition with a conjunction to Saturn and an opposition to Uranus on September 17. Then, get ready to work hard and immerse yourself in Virgo themes as retrograde Mercury returns to Virgo on September 17, followed by a new Moon in Virgo on the 18 and Venus entering Virgo on September 20. By the end of that week, you should be a Virgo expert! Finally, Mercury joins the Saturn-Uranus opposition with a conjunction to Saturn on September 22, ending this solar period on a serious note. August: 22: Sun enters Virgo Do you have a dream or a goal you want to achieve? Perhaps you invented a better mousetrap or have ideas to help make the world a better place. As the Sun leaves dramatic Leo and enters earthy Virgo, you're ready to focus your energy; you are ready to accomplish something. This sign, with its beautiful blend of idealism and practicality shows up strongly in the charts of entrepreneurs. These traits help you concentrate on the important matters and leave behind what doesn't matter. Decide what you would like to accomplish, write down your goals and then set them in motion. Virgo reminds us that dreams are attainable when you roll up your shirtsleeves and commit to them. August 25: Mars enters Cancer As warrior Mars put his energy into protective, sensitive Cancer, your actions are very much influenced by your emotions and desires for safety and security. Pay attention to your feelings, instincts and hunches as you move forward with your projects and plans. Don't act on anything that doesn't feel right, but watch out for oversensitivity and a tendency to over react. August 25: Mercury enters Libra When communicative Mercury enters peacemaker Libra, you look for areas of agreement and shy away from conflict. Usually. Because the atmosphere this week is intense, the climate is not fabulous for making agreements. If you're one of those people who can get even mortal enemies to sit down and smoke the peace pipe -- step up! The world needs you. For the rest, keep in mind that your words and actions carry a lot of weight right now, so think carefully before you tangle-up with anyone. August 25: Mercury squares Mars Because Mercury is moving slowly and will turn retrograde next week, this aspect is stronger and more lasting than it would be normally. Keep an eagle-eye out for people who are itchy to start a fight. While Mars in Cancer is emotionally driven, Mercury in Libra's motto is fairness. Should you consider other people's needs, or do what you feel is right for you? This in an argumentative aspect that shows people are quick to jump into the fray. Don't bonk people over the head with your point of view. Knowing when to step up or to the side is a talent to put to use now! August 26: Venus enters Leo and quincunxes Pluto If it weren't for the quincunx to Pluto and the atmosphere of the Mercury-Mars-Pluto energy, Venus in Leo would be a perfect time to throw a party! But now, the fun-quotient of this placement is overridden. Think of it like this: as you are setting the stage for a fabulous event, people with long-held grudges enter the room and dominate everyone's attention. They are noisy and intense and insistent. Do yourself a favor and throw a party for one: You! August 26: Mercury squares Pluto and Mars opposes Pluto This aspect -- a 'T-square' -- occurs when a planet squares two planets, one on each side. Think of it as three people or groups who don't agree on much. With Mercury in I-want-fairness Libra, Mars in I-want-to-be-safe-and-secure Cancer, and I'm-in-charge Pluto in ambitious Capricorn, watch for a war of words or actions when the issues of power and control arise. This is a power struggle of some kind. Instead of becoming embroiled in the rhetoric, why not side-step the bullies of the world and take the power of this aspect and use it to do something helpful for yourself and humankind September 3: Mercury square Mars Mercury is moving at a snail's pace as it gets ready to turn retrograde, so the challenging square to Mars continues to dominate all interactions. The urge to act rashly is strong and you would do well to count to 10 before you put something in motion that you will regret. This is the kind of aspect that divides the boys from the men, the girls from the women and the mature from the immature. September 4: Full Moon in Pisces Put on your armor as the emotional full Moon occurs in thin-skinned Pisces. You are now receiving information from people and from the environment that relate to what you set in motion during the last new Moon in dramatic Leo on August 20. Add to the mix a slow Mercury square volatile Mars and you have all of the ingredients for people acting without thought. No matter how important something seems, step back and assess with a cool head. Make a point of connecting with your spiritual self -- watch a sunset, meditate or listen to a beautiful piece of music. This full Moon will most affect those born September 2-6, December 3-7, March 1-5 and June 1-5. September 6: Mercury turns retrograde Communicative Mercury entered let's-be-fair Libra on August 25. Now, with this change in direction, you have the opportunity to review your agreements and conversations from the last three weeks. Because of the Libran desire to avoid conflict, you may have agreed to something that didn't sit quite right and now, especially with the current square to Mars, you may be more than ready to speak up. While it is important to be true to your thoughts and beliefs, the way you act is also important. Use the Libra charm and sociability to make things right with you and others. That way, the decks will be cleared when Mercury turns direct on September 29. September 11: Pluto turns direct When Pluto turned retrograde last April 4, it was time to review your life plan. Whether you are seeking a new job, looking to relocate or searching for the partner of your dreams, how you go about getting what you want is just as important as the goal itself. Make sure you act in a way that makes you proud. Now, as Pluto turns direct in achievement-oriented Capricorn, you are ready to implement an action-plan. September 12: Saturn quincunx Neptune Saturn represents building; Neptune represents dreaming. Some of us are good builders; some of us are good dreamers. Globally and personally, these two energies are having a serious conversation right now. And you are in the process of getting clearer about the difference between your fantasies and dreams. This aspect reminds you of the importance of making appropriate adjustments in your long-term planning as new information becomes available. Ask yourself what you are willing to work hard for and let go of any flimsy fantasies. September 15: Saturn opposite Uranus This month brings the latest installment of the Saturn/Uranus opposition message that has been in place since November 2008. While Saturn represents rules and responsibilities, Uranus is all about change. Maintaining a balance between those areas of your life where you are working hard to build something substantial and remaining flexible and open to the changing currents has been essential. While the whole world grapples with building within the midst of change, your birth chart shows you the areas where your tightrope walk is occurring. Your challenge: build upon your experiences while also being open to change. September 17: Sun opposite Uranus and conjunct Saturn The Sun's connection with the Saturn/Uranus opposition emphasizes the build-something-change-something theme. Watch out for someone or an event that moves you out of your normal everyday routines. Align yourself with the one who has the authority and clout to help you. As the Sun joins with serious Saturn and opposes innovative Uranus, you are challenged meet your responsibilities within a changing environment. You should be used to this by now! September 17: Mercury re-enters Virgo Are you ready to make significant improvements in your life? Every action is preceded by an idea and with the communicator planet returning to this hardworking sign, you will come up with plenty of ideas! Mercury in uber-analytical Virgo is like putting a hamster that has had a long nap and a snack on an exercise wheel. If you listen carefully, you'll hear that whirring sound as your mind receives a mental workout! Write down some of those brilliant thoughts so you can put them to use later after Mercury turns direct on September 29. September 18: New Moon in Virgo Any new Moon in Virgo is considered to be a hardworking Moon and one that gives you plenty of energy to accomplish something that is meaningful to you. This particular new Moon aligns with serious Saturn giving an added emphasis to the value and rewards that are obtained from putting in plenty of elbow grease. Use this time to hone in on what you want to achieve. Infuse your goals with this lunar energy to help you organize and implement projects that are the most important to you. This new Moon will most affect those born September 16-20, December 15-19, March 14-18 and June 15-19. September 20: Venus enters Virgo With the love planet entering earthy Virgo, put your starry-eyed self on the shelf and turn your attention to the more practical facets of your important relationships. What can you do to contribute to your partner's happiness? Whether you take over the laundry chores, schedule a couples' massage, or bring more nutritious food into the house, the well being of your partner and the relationship itself is emphasized as Venus travels though this efficient and health-conscious sign. Enjoy the Sun's transit through Virgo! ** Astrolesson: Money, Work and Career: The Second, Sixth and Tenth Houses In today's economy, many people are thinking about income, work and career. In astrology, these important areas of life are represented by the Second, Sixth and Tenth Houses. Whether you are looking for work or would like to earn more money, information from these houses in your natal chart can help steer you in the right direction, the one that promises the most success. The Second House is the house of income, and planets located in this house in your birth chart say something about how you make money and how you go about contributing to your material stability. Mercury in the Second House can describe a person who derives their income from communicating, such as working in journalism or education. The Sixth House is the house of work, but not career. It describes your day-to-day work, your routines and schedules and your coworkers and employees. This house describes your work environment and planets here have something to say about your work relationships and how you approach your work. If Saturn is located here in your natal chart, you may prefer a structured work environment. Neptune can show that you are empathetic to employees' problems. The Tenth House represents public identity: your worldly status, reputation, vocation or career. This house represents how the world sees you and how you impact the world. Someone who has many planets in the Tenth House will put a lot of energy into advancing their career. Planets in Sagittarius can show a person in the travel industry while Pluto can describe an individual likes to be in charge. Whether you are at the beginning of your career-life or are looking for new money-making opportunities, these three houses provide you with an invaluable roadmap that helps you chart your course and gives you that extra edge -- courtesy of the stars! Subject: I met a really nice person....
Author: Anonymous [ Edit | View ] |
Date Posted: 16:25:08 08/19/09 Wed My husband is so sweet. He got me a gift certificate to a spa. I meet a really sweet person whom does different types of massages(not sure if its okay to use her name). Anyway, she felt how bad my body was with the fibromyalgia and yes my body is very toxic with all the meds I've been on over the past 10 years. I had an upsetting appoinment with my Rheumatologist yesterday...we have tried all drugs, even the newest ones and therpaies and nothing has worked. We've even tried methedone, fetyanl patches, and suboxone for pain...with allergic reactions, I can't even get pain relief. Anyway, this person at the spa has been able to give me referrals for alternative Doctors whom practice homeopathic approach, herbs, aacupuncture and so on. She has provided me with a lot of information and knowledge and I thank her greatly! I called my insurance company this morning and they do not cover any homeopathic Doctors, herbalists, accupuncture, or anything down those lines so everything would be out of pocket...which makes me wonder if that would be considered tax deductable since it is being used as a medical treatment? I'm waiting to see what will happen with my case that is going on and then will go from here. I am also trying to find my former Doctor who is also practicing in the Madison area, thats what I've been told. My Rheumatologist said that my former Doctor is working with the VA in Madison. Good luck trying to get information...I haven't had luck yet and of course no one will give out information, which is understandable. But it gets me upset when a Doctor will not pass on a message to a former Doctor. I need this Doctor's expert advice with a case that is going on right now to see what direction I should take. Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the rest of the Summer... ~ Autumn Silve Sky [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 15:22:39 08/19/09 Wed Hi, Well, you certainly have alot on your plate right now. Relocating to another state is in itself stressful under perfect conditions. I can only share what I feel as my life the past 3 years was like one violent storm that I'd thought would never end. My son and I are in calmer waters and I learned throughout the many stresses how to heal my self, that was finding peace within every day no matter what was happening around me. Trust in the Universe and always put out positive affirmations for yourself and Billy. If you'd like I will send healing energy for you and Billy. Just let me know and in the meantime, I agree with Tom that Shane is watching over you. When all was falling apart my precious green anole, "Lizard Boy" died in my hand. I know now he is watching over me and Chris, but his loss came at a time when all was about to crumble. I firmly believe he left as he had a different role to play for me and Chris. I know he was a Angel Guide for us. So, find one thing of gratitude in each day and you'll see things will clear. Let me know if you would like the healing energy of Reiki sent to you. Subject: **All about Leo & Starcast + Astrolesson
Author: Anonymous [ Edit | View ] |
Date Posted: 22:26:03 07/30/09 Thu ** All about Leo Leo proudly bears the symbol of the lion -- which didn't happen by accident. It's an association brought about by this sign's reputation for being brave, strong and just about fearless. Since the lion is the king of the jungle, he also endows his signature sign with the qualities of a natural ruler. Leos can pull the mantle of authority over their shoulders at a moment's notice and start barking out orders -- benevolently, of course -- just as quickly. To pull it all off, certain qualities are a must: charisma, to start with, along with the ability to enchant and enthrall the masses. Like those of many popular leaders, Leos' 'followers' often seem to simply fall in love with them! Bringing all those qualities into a relationship means several things: First off, the Lion's partner can't help but feel honored and, at times, a bit overwhelmed by the task of measuring up to such a partner. If you are a Leo yourself, you will, of course, do your best to let your chosen partner know that nothing is too good for them. You'll put your all into showing that lucky soul that they not only 'deserve' you, but that they're also worthy of anything -- as long as it's good, fine and pleasurable. The best of everything is all that will do. Luckily for the rest of us, Leos automatically endow their loved ones with a sense of worth that not too many others can match. They also carry themselves with regal demeanor, so whoever happens to be on their arm can't help but feel royal in turn. There is a humble side to Leo, however -- again, only when it comes to the ones the Lion loves. This kingly sign will go right out of its way to make anything happen for cherished friends and family, whenever it's humanly possible. But don't fear, Leo: While it's not your ultimate goal, this unparalleled devotion ensures that you'll receive the same in return, with just as much emotional extravagance. Speaking of extravagance, Leos are famous for that too -- and for being lavish, theatrical and, at times, a tad on the melodramatic side (even in the company of those they've just met). Keeping the latter qualities in check is their greatest challenge, and also what will keep them honest and reputable. So, to all you Lions out there, find a way to strut your stuff, a stage that deserves your presence, and a way to preserve your dignity, and you'll do all the other residents of your jungle proud! ** Your Starcast for July 22 to August 21 Show off your strengths when the Sun enters authoritative Leo on July 22. Then be aware of muddy communications or unrealistic expectations when Mercury opposes philosophical Jupiter on July 30 and mystical Neptune on July 31. Open your heart as Venus enters cuddly Cancer on July 31. Give your mind something to do on August 2 when communicator Mercury enters analytical Virgo. Because Pluto is at such a low degree, Mercury has its first conversation with Pluto with a trine on August 3. This is a great aspect for contracts and agreements. On August 7, Mercury sextiles Venus and brings helpful social opportunities to help you to further your goals. Watch out for intense emotions at the lunar eclipse in independent-minded Aquarius on August 5. Feisty Mars traveling through talkative Gemini encounters the ongoing Saturn-Uranus opposition with a square to serious Saturn on August 10. Hard work is a keyword for this transit! You will get help on August 13 when Mars trines Jupiter. It's time to stand back and reflect on August 14 as the Sun opposes Jupiter. Then Mars squares Uranus on August 18, and change is on the horizon! On August 20, the north node enters Capricorn and the south node enters Cancer, marking a major transition. Help yourself by determining what you need to build into your life. The new Moon in Leo on August 20 encourages you to include the needs of others while you make plans for yourself. July 22: Sun enters Leo Do you orbit around somebody or something else -- or are you in the center of your own solar system? As the Sun enters its own sign, it's time for you to shine as bright as the Sun. Your self-confidence will be at an all-time high now if you embody the three top Leo qualities: respect, creativity and leadership. Whether you exude the dignified presence of Robert Redford or the showy style of Madonna (both Leos) -- now is the time to stop hiding in the wings and step into your own personal spotlight. July 30: Mercury opposite Jupiter and July 31: Mercury opposite Neptune You are not at your clearest with Mercury's opposition to expansive Jupiter and spiritual Neptune. So don't use this time for a task that requires you to dot too many i's or cross any t's! Although you're not at your most realistic, nothing beats the idealism of this combo, so use this time for pure enjoyment. Listen to music, write poetry or do something really nice for someone in a random act of kindness. This is a transit where your mind can fully grasp that we are all connected. July 31: Venus enters Cancer When the relationship planet transits through cozy Cancer, you'll feel like spending time with the people you know the best. Cancer is a feeling-oriented water sign and the sign of home, family and comfort, making this a perfect time to hang out at home. Pop some popcorn, watch an old movie and cuddle up with your sweetie. Single? Now is the time to make a heart connection. The main thing is to dip into the feeling world and give your mind a rest. An open loving heart brings rewards. August 2: Mercury enters Virgo 'Ideas that work' -- this is Mercury in Virgo's motto. While Mercury rules two signs, Gemini and Virgo, curiosity is Gemini's domain. In Virgo, it's all about thinking analytically and practically. Your mind wants something to do, a task to complete. You are ready to put your best plans to the test and see what is workable. So, get off the sofa, get out a notebook and make a list of what you want to accomplish. Weigh the pros and cons. Once you know what you want and how to proceed, put it into action! August 3: Mercury trine Pluto and August 7: Mercury sextile Venus A Mercury trine Pluto aspect is great for making agreements, signing contracts, selling ideas and products, and for deepening your understanding of what is workable and what needs to be let go. Mercury's placement in analytical Virgo joins with Pluto in what-can-I-build Capricorn. Nice combo! Mercury's sextile to Venus in nurturing Cancer sweetens the deal and keeps conversations from getting overly intense. August 5: Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius Think back to July 21 when the new Moon solar eclipse in Cancer occurred. This Aquarius full Moon lunar eclipse represents the culmination of what you set in motion during that time. The full Moon is always an emotional high-tide time. But when it's also an eclipse, feelings are heightened and there tends to be a lot of drama, just as eclipses are quite visually dramatic! Because this eclipse takes place at the Aquarius north node, take into account the needs of the group or your community to help point you in the right direction. You are likely to want to be part of something bigger while also being true to your own individuality and uniqueness. Make sure you stay group-focused. If you get overly self-focused, things won't work out as well. But, do take care of yourself! During times like these you need plenty of rest! This full Moon will most affect those born August 4-8, November 4-8, January 31-February 4 and May 2-6. August 10: Mars square Saturn Don't even try to talk your way out of this one! Someone or something in the environment makes it clear that you need to stop what you're doing. Don't be discouraged, though. You simply need to plan a little more carefully. This is not a time to wing-it. Do your homework. Hard work is a keyword for this transit. But, keep in mind that just because things don't come easily, it is not a reason to give up! Delays may end up being helpful in the long-run. August 13: Mars trine Jupiter Now that you have weeded out the non-essential with the previous Mars square Saturn, you are ready to move forward. In this aspect, Jupiter is a cheerleader for your plans. You have plenty of energy and confidence in yourself. Now is the time you'll recognize what you need to do to move your vision forward. August 14: Sun opposite Jupiter While you are tweaking your plans, take stock of how far you have come over these last couple of months. Yes, there is more to do (isn't there always?) but every good plan needs someone who believes in it, as well as a competent person at the helm. The Sun/Jupiter opposition always takes place when we are approximately two months into Jupiter's retrograde cycle. Oppositions give us the chance to stand back and reflect. There are things that you thought would come about that didn't. And, there are ideas that you never thought of, which now seem viable. See where you want to go, and plan for the station direct when your projects get an extra boost. Jupiter turns direct on October 12. August: 18: Mars square Uranus That restless feeling you're experiencing is your signal to make some changes. Last week when Mars squared Saturn, you encountered a road-block and were forced to reconsider some of what you were doing. Now, at the square to independent Uranus, it's time to look at where changes need to occur to allow you greater freedom. August 20: The north node enters Capricorn; the south node enters Cancer The north node/south node axis represents respectively the future and the past. The north node points to the direction that can bring fulfillment and a greater sense of purpose, while the south node represents a collective past that, while yielding helpful information, should not hold too much of your attention. Capricorn represents business, authority and responsibility, and Cancer the home and family. Capricorn is all about your interaction with the world and Cancer is about nurturing yourself and loved ones and making sure everybody is content and secure. Make sure you don't get into an emotionally fear-based batten-down-the-hatches mentality (negative Cancer). Instead, determine what you need to build into your life and take the responsibility to do it (healthy Capricorn). The first holds you back, the latter moves you forward. There will be more information later about this important transition. August: 20: New Moon in Leo Will you be asked to make a sacrifice? Usually a new Moon in Leo emphasizes the need for confidence and the importance of leadership and creativity, and brings wonderful new energy. However, even though the usual Leo themes are in place, because Neptune opposes this new Moon, any new beginnings will need to incorporate the needs of the group whether you think of that in a local sense or as the global community. A strong T-square with Mars squaring Mercury and the Saturn/Uranus opposition points to a dilemma of some kind with people having different agendas they would like to put into play. What does this all mean for you? As you're starting something new, you will have a number of things to consider, so take your time. Look to the houses in your own chart where the bold Leo new beginnings are taking off, while keeping a close watch on how the world is responding to you. This new Moon will most affect those born August 18-22, November 18-22, February 14-18 and May 16-20. Enjoy the Sun's transit through Leo -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** Astrolesson: Eclipses With a solar and lunar eclipse in July and another lunar eclipse in August, this is the perfect time to discuss the impact of eclipses and how you can use this dynamic energy to your benefit. From the ancient times to the current world, eclipses are known to be associated with dramatic events in human and earthly affairs. If you've ever seen an eclipse, they are quite spectacular! Solar eclipses occur at new Moons and lunar eclipses take place at full Moons. Our regular new and full Moons show beginnings (new) and culminations (full) every 29 days. When those new and full Moons are eclipses, events are big and noticeable. With any eclipse, plan on something grabbing your attention -- but don't think too far ahead! What you think is going to happen, often doesn't. In fact, we use the word 'eclipse' to say that one event has been overshadowed by another. Yet, because you know astrology, and especially if you know where in your own chart this eclipse occurs, you will have an idea of the general area of your life that will be in the spotlight. During this current Leo Sun period, a lunar eclipse in Aquarius occurs on August 5. Full moons in general, (a lunar eclipse is an extra intense full Moon), are always times to tune into your emotions. The trick is to be in touch without over-reacting. Simply, bring your awareness to what needs your attention and get a plan together to make the changes that will make you feel healthier, happier and more emotionally content. In Aquarius, this eclipse stimulates your desire to be part of something bigger, whether a community or organizations with a cause close to your heart. In addition, with this eclipse occurring at the north node, you'll be prompted let go of the past and invest in your future. With any eclipse, be sure to check out the houses in your birth chart where they occur. The sign and house location as well as planets that aspect the eclipse degree give plenty of extra information. Date Posted: 00:47:59 07/03/09 Fri Hi All, First of all, thank you Autumn for your call. I WILL call you over this week rather than an email. Your message touched my heart. Contemplating Tom, thank you for thinking of me. I will say prayers for your friend and hope all is going well with you. To make a long story short, the six months of this year have been the worst ever that I can remember in quite some time. My Dad was diagosned with two weeks to live in January and despite alot of suffering his will is amazing. He is here and is able to watch his baseball!!! Its been hard working and running down to be with him. We had alot of close calls. His doctors call him the Miracle Man! I'm experiencing my worst financial hardship and my son is in the process of selling his home to move home and help me. He also suffers from some stuff and he needs prayers. My "ex" was supposedly so in love with me and was supposed to move back in April, and in the midst of all, he sent me an email saying he's can't be with me and to "find my peace". He flip floped with me a million times; this past one will be his last with me. With all that said, I haven't been on here. Hope this wasn't too boring, but, the reason is my life seem to have this huge cloud that affected me in so many ways. My Dad, is holding up and watches his Mets (yeah, I know), hopefully Chris will have a buyer this month and his anxiety is lessening; as far as finances, well, I can only go up from here and learned the value of being a bit frugal with myself as well and as far as love goes, the right man and I will find each other one day. Throughout all this, my Dad gave me the inspiration and hope to live each day to its fullest, despite all that is happening in life. He never complains and even in his weakest state, he sits in his recliner with with 10 lbs weight! He really became my inspiration when I was about to give up and questioning Life, that's when I realized how Spirit and good life is. Things are turning around and I really learned to enjoy a cup of coffee and watching my cat look at the window looking at birds. Life is good, I have seen the results of Reiki for my Dad and more than ever, I will use it and hopefully will be able to one day devote more time to healing. Many years ago, Gina told me you will see why you need to pursue your gift of healing. Now I know. If anyone needs Reiki light, please let me know. My Dad is here because of it; my son is getting better and Reiki has grounded me during the storm. Sending all here light and love and blessings. With gratitude, Angel Lady PS. Hi to Gina, I miss you too! [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Subject: Drawing Down The Sun......
Author: Anonymous [ Edit | View ] |
Date Posted: 20:49:12 06/30/09 Tue Yes, you read the title right....Drawing down the Sun. I've written many articles on drawing down the Moon, but you can also Draw Down the Sun for healing, power, intellect, strength, and protection purposes. The ritual that I use is to call upon the Sun God in a need of help. I first set up my alter, cast my circle, call upon the 4 elements, and then invoke the deity that I want to work with. And you can do something simular to this one, but remember making up your own ritual is much more powerful than using someone else's because your using more of your inner energy to conjure up a spell and using your own words is a very powerful thing. Drawing Down the Sun: Helios, wonderous God of the Sun. You who greets dawn with beautiful reds, pinks, and orange colors. You who rides the blue skies traveling East to West glowing as bright as a golden flame and controls our bountiful harvets. You who controls intellect, healing, protection, strength, music, poetry, prophecy, and success. On this day in this hour I call upon Helio's power. Merge within me light into light. Woman and God glowing warm and bright. Healing, power, and strength pour down from thee. Protect me from from any harm and negativity. As I will it, so mote it be. ~ Autumn Silver Sky [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
