I've had several conversations with Delissa since she got home. Her blood pressure is still high but Doctors put her on medication for it. She is waiting results of the autopsy from the placenta to see what else there might have been. As I had told Delissa if she had waited to get to the hospital I truely believe that she would have been died. When she was in the hospital she was one hour away from a blood transfusion. The Doctors had to save one of their lives and the choice, an obvious one, was Delissa. The good thing is the Doctor now knows what she has and told her the next pregnancy should not be so bad with the HELLP syndrome. So, she is going to try again later on towards the end of the year to get pregnant again. Delissa did seek consult of a Psychiatrist to help her with this ordeal. I told her to stay positive and to remember it was nothing that she did, she did everything right. I think what sort of helped her, at least I hope, is that I've had simular things happen. I've had miscarriages at 5, 4, and 3 months so because I can relate to such loses she said out of everyone she knows that she feels comfortable talking to me and that I know what to say in this situation. She is torn. and I told her honestly she will hurt for a long time and this is something you can not just forget. As time goes by, the pain will ease some.
