Subject: I am sorry if I offended you. I should have used a better term. My point is still the same that H?M is out of hand, these people are not doing people in Hollywood or New York they are kids. Seems to me many vendors think if you attach the word pageant in any content of a sentence it costs more than you can get from anywhere else. JMHO

[> [> [> What happened to the days when a mom could do her dd hair and makeup, make her a beautiful dress, and pay for MODELING lessons c/i -- Anonymous, 10:13:38 11/10/07 Sat [1]

The days when you did not have to dance to be the best model, and your win was not determined by how old your photo made you look or how many stones mom paid to have glued on your dress. If you want to go back to fair pageants this needs to be addressed. A mom should not have to pay a photographer $500 to have a picture of a 3 year old that looks like shes 15. A beautiful girl who can model should be able to wear a beautiful dress and win, not a dress full of stones that overshadow her. Her teeth should be her teeth. Missing teeth, braces, it doesn't matter. We should go back to the days when a child can win because she is beautiful, not because her mom has enough money to make her look beautiful, or in my opinion, FAKE!

[> [> [> [> Your right, the glitz has went too far and I like the glitz pageants. I love a pretty pageant dress, but I think they are beautiful without all the stones. The stones dont make your child any prettier and the dresses would certainly look more delicate on a child. Same with the hair and makeup. The whole problem is some of the contestants cant win without being totally covered up with the heavy makeup, therefore those moms will fight for it. I dont think they should get rid of all the makeup, but just enhance the childs natural beauty. Something the mom can do without going overboard with it. Really its not beauty now. Its the best painted mask. You cant tell who is beautiful and who isnt. Close up appraisial is a must for judging beauty. -- Anonymous, 07:14:38 11/11/07 Sun [1]
