He could tell Jeremy was in a bad way, he even said so and it would have been the perfect opportunity for him to hold up his word. I'm not worried about Denise and Claudia's friendship, they'll be ok. As far as Pamela and Roland are concerned, it could go either way, but either one fooling around in my book is bad and wrong no matter what the circumstances.
