I think that Frank and Denise are good parents and yes they may be tough on him (Frank especially) but that's only b/c they care about their son and want to see him do well in life. Denise herself even said go to West Point b/c it is one of the best educations. I dont know this is a really hard and touchy subject and it has been interesting to witness thru these characters.
