That's what's so odd about that - he made it through two years without Joan, and now not even for thirty days - makes me think that there must be something really extreme going on in his head for him to succumb to temptation... Unless, well, we don't actually know what he did those two years, do we?! He is (was?!) so sweet that we would've never imagined him cheating, but maybe there are these two sides to his personality? I mean, the 'ease' with which he chatted on the phone with Joan afterwards was somewhat disconcerting! -- Army Wives: Celebrating the circle of friendship!

His friends were there calling him and trying to talk to him, but he didn't answer their calls or phone them back. While yes, I felt bad for him during the bar scene that night, he still was weak and screwed the pooch on this one big time. I know he has issues of his own to work out, but he knew it was wrong before he did it. He was celibate for two years, things were going well with Joan before she left and he couldn't keep it in his pants for 30 days, Give Me A Break! Roland does confess it to Joan, but I sure hope he does it before she makes the final decision to give up her career.
