Subject: Frank is delusional, he actually believes he knows what's best. He almost acts like a parental figure to Denise instead of an equal. I love how she handles him though. That kiss on the cheek was priceless. It said it all. I care about you but I am doing this. I definitely would not have been so cool headed!! Your statement about clinging to what was good about your childhood (that's if you had one). Some kids are forced into being responsible at an early age. If you have been used to fending for yourself and making your own decisions the idea of collaborating seems foreign to you. You would probably have to suffer a few hard knocks in life to realize that this might not be the best way to get what you want.
In reply to: Theresa 's message, "Okay, someone's background can affect people, but they can choose whether it affects them positively or negatively. Frank chooses not to be respectful and an ass to his wife. Just like Jeremy chose to be an abuser regardless of his background. Background may make a difference, but it doesn't dictate your life. You're either strong enough to rise above adverse things, or wise enough to cling to the things that are good about your childhood, but every choice is yours." on 10:11:25 07/31/07 Tue

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> Maybe Frank isn't such an a$$. Maybe he was just used to making all the decisions without question from day one. Maybe this was Denise's first time making waves and he's not used to that. On some level Denise must know that because she handled him with unheard of patience and calm. LOL! So just as Denise had to adjust to the changes within herself, Frank needs a minute to come up to speed and make the same adjustment to now having a real partner. Bet he'll eventually find he loves the new Denise all the more. I'll give him two episodes to catch up, and then decide what I really think of him. Now Roland? He gets one more. LOL! -- Carrotts, 13:33:46 07/31/07 Tue [1]

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> I would agree that Frank isn't such an ass if he hadn't ordered Denise to go with him and say she has to. And if he hadn't come to the hospital intending to drag her out of there. I can see him not liking it because it's not what he's used to, but even after she talked to him about it he didn't accept it because it wasn't what he wanted. That's being an ass. Frank and Denise don't really know each other very well. She seemed surprised when he said he was going to drag her out of the hospital. He seemed surprised that she was vital and active and good at being a nurse. He was right to realize that he would drive her away too if he didn't back off and let her be herself. -- Theresa, 16:45:13 07/31/07 Tue [1]

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> I think he may have switched to work mode and what he would do when orders weren't obeyed in the field. That might have been his only point of reference. He might have intended to drag her out in his head but in reality I doubt even in his state of mind he would have done it even if she had been on a coffee break.. well, okay maybe it would have gotten ugly had she been on a coffee break. Whew, glad she wasn't. :-0 -- Carrotts, 17:29:19 07/31/07 Tue [1]
