This has been a source of contention on some of these pageant boards before. So be prepared to get LOTS of differing opinions. My opinion, if you want more people, it's best to hold it centrally (sp??) for as many people as possible. To my way of thinking, that means in the Bangor area, as it is about the same distance for people who live up in the County, as well as those from Portland. (Actually, people up in the county would have a longer drive, but there isn't much else between Houlton & Bangor for places to hold a pageant I don't think, I may be wrong though) But when this was mentioned before, some (not all) from down around Portland area were very upset at this idea. Me, I'll travel 3 hours one way for a nice pageant. But that's me. Good luck with your plans, and keep us posted. Would like more pageants for my daughter to enter!
