The info on the 2007 (last year's) pageant is at http://www.mainelobsterfestival.com/docs/seaprincessgdlines2007.pdf

There is a website http://www.mainelobsterfestival.com/ It has a mailing address, phone number, and contact links. I think the person in charge of the pageant is Sharon Lombardo - 594-4559. The pageant is a big commitment, with volunteering at the festival required of all contestants, as well as mandatory rehearsals and dress fittings. The sponsor fee is $400. The winner's cash prize is $2,000 and the 1st runner-up,$1,000.

Most girls in the pageant are graduates of Medomak, Camden Hills, Rockland, or Georges Valley because of the commitment involved in this pageant. The winner is expected to be at the fairgrounds every day of the festival, and is required to make certain appearances throughout the year, as well, including going to the Big E.

You must be a Maine resident to enter. You can only enter this pageant once! All of the entrants wear the same red dress. How's that for not being judge on what you wear?! Call or email for info soon because they only take the first 20 applicants.

Best of luck!

HOORAY HOORAY HOORAY
*~*~*~Way to Go, Natalie, at NES~*~*~*

CongratulationsCongratulationsCongratulationsCongratulations

NES National 0-6 Most Beautiful
Black & White Photo Age Division Winner
Color Photo Age Division Runner Up

We want to THANK Miss Tammy and all her staff for a wonderful pageant experience. This was the biggest event Natalie has entered, and we enjoyed every minute of it. From the moment we walked in on Friday until we left on Sunday we were among some of the friendliest people from all over the country!

Thank you BEACHBABIES for the wonderful TAN. Also, you did a great job with H/M. Natalie can be a handful, but she seemed to really like you both. You did a great job for all of the events, she looked beautiful!

Catherine Fiehn, a big THANK YOU for the wonderful pictures. I was so happy when I received your phone call November 1st saying you had a cancellation. You did an amazing job with Natalie. Natalie would not of won age division b/w photo or runner up age division color photo without your help.

A Big thank you to Vanessa and Asha Tillmann for letting us ride with you. Natalie LOVES seeing Asha. She has talked about you non-stop. She already asked if we can ride with you next time! Vanessa I know I can count on your answers to my "silly" questions. No matter what I ask, you have an answer for it. Thanks again.

Cara Kennedy, Natalie really enjoys seeing you at pageants. You have become one of her good pageant friends. Jennie & Ava, you are some of the first people Natalie looked for at NES. Kim & Melody, thanks for being great roommates. Natalie loved playing with Melody. To all of the wonderful pageant families we have met THANK YOU for all your help with questions etc. Natalie had a great time at NES Nationals and has already asked to go next year.

And Corrie-Marie, we saved the BEST for last...words can not say enough about the relationship Natalie and you have. The way my daughter lights up when you enter the room is priceless. Ask anyone who saw Natalie on stage the week before in NH, compared to how she did on stage at NES, there was a HUGE difference. I owe it all to you. When she sees you behind the judges table she does much better. You are a great role model for Natalie. I am thankful for the small amount of time you spend with her, you do wonders. I try for weeks to get her to do things, and it takes you 5 minutes. I hope we can get her to you more often. Your family has helped us in so many ways. Thank you so much.

Congratulations to all the NES National Contestants

Pageant Hugs
Natalie

At least five of them were taken by the contestant themself, like a myspace pic! Couldn't they have found a friend to snap it for them? All are very beautiful though.

Remember, this is only MY opinion! What's yours??!

"Jayna and Dawn are both super-organized and direct pageants FOR the girls." From another forum:

Volunteerism is very important to both of these women, and they promote helping others through their pageants. They have the Eastern Maine pageant in April for girls and women who live or go to school in school Aroostook, Hancock, Penobscot, Piscataquis, or Washington County, Maine. For more photos and information go do:

http://easternmaine.bravehost.com/

Jayna and Dawn also organize a smaller, local pageant called Miss St. Croix Valley for girls 5-18 who live in Washington County, Maine and Charlotte County, New Brunswick, helping them to build self-confidence and develop their speaking ability, all while promoting volunteerism. This pageant is coming up on Saturday, October 13, 2007 at Woodland Elementary School in Baileyville. Obviously, this is a local pageant, and many people reading this are not eligible to enter, but I'm sure they would love to have Queens come make appearances. For more information and photos, go to:

http://www.stcroixpageants.bravehost.com/

Both pageants are run completely by volunteers, but have a "professional" feel about them because the sound person is a professional who donates his time and use of equipment, experienced judges come from outside the local area, and Jayna and Dawn are dedicated to making their pageants a great experience. I highly recommend checking out the St. Croix Valley and Eastern Maine Pageants!
