Yes it does. I did not know this until today. When Natalie did Maine Day there was a different Eastern Maine Regional Director (that was in Aug). I did not realize that she stepped down and Alicia was the new Regional Director. This is very new, and I am sure I am not the only one who did not know yet. I was under the impression that NES and NEStar were not affiliated (after much debate!). But how is the Eastern Maine pageant connected to NEStar? Have the directorships changed? I know they are relatively in the same area and a director has moved away, but I didn't realize it was Eastern Maine. Too bad if it is. I have only heard great things about it. I hope it doesn't change. I have many friends' daughters who enter Eastern Maine.

This position is in NO WAY affiliated with the Eastern Maine Pageant, directed by Jayna Smith and Dawn Winchester. For more information on this pageant, go to http://easternmaine.bravehost.com/ Jayna and Dawn also have a smaller local pageant, but it is totally different from Alicia's pageants.

Alicia teaches dance and is a director of the Miss International Festival Pageant and NES. Now, she is also available to help contestants prepare for Miss Maine America.

For many years, to participate in Miss Maine America, a contestant had to win a preliminary pageant, such as Miss Greater Bangor, Maine Potato Queen, etc. Now, they no longer have preliminaries so young women who wish to enter are helped by these regional directors (since some Miss Maine contestants have never been in any pageant before). The director of Northeast Star Alicia Nicholson is now the Eastern Maine director for the pageants afflicated with Miss Maine (www.MissMaine.org)Miss Maine Scholarship Pageant, Miss Maine's Outstanding Teen Pageant, Miss Maine Day Pageant, and Pine Tree Prince/Princess. Nothing has changed to the Miss Eastern Maine Pageant held in Bailyville, that is its own system. Hope this helps. Sasha
