Isn't it a bit convenient that the good Father has a cousin with a fishing boat right about the time Love wants Casey gone and the FBI are willing to send him away. And since both entities have spies on the vessel I'm wondering who really set the fishing job up?

Oh I know he trusts her, but he shouldn't trust Hagerty. However, it's already been 'splained that he's in over his head & not making very good decisions. Really, for him to even think that he would be safe to just "walk away" from working for a mobster was a bit naive, in my opinion. - I think part of it is that although Casey is very street-smart and knows how things work in his own environment, he doesn't fully understand how things operate here -- and really, how many of us are totally competent and understand all the nuances when we're out of our element, but not so far out that we realise just how different things are.   - Yea, on the surface. Casey remarks earlier that he thought he would fit in just fine at first, but then realized that the morality of the Mafia life was at odds with his own values. Back home he had very clear cut friends and enemies; here the enemies are simply who Hagery says they are, and they may even only be people who are guilty of no more than being in Hagerty's way (such as himself).
