  • I don't know, there is good and bad in every country. My dd and I sufferred abuse by a whole group from a Canadian school when we were in Boston. Took 2 seats out of their saved 2 rows of chairs empty for hours and they were at us to get out of them the whole time we sat there.   • I, too, am shocked by the nasty comments about "Yanks", which (by the way) is an offensive and incorrectly used term. I am always surprised when people clump all Americans together as if we're all the same (and even more surprised when people clump Canadians and Americans together). America is one of the most diverse countries there are- a melting pot of races, religions, cultures, and ideologies. We vary from region to region, state to state, and even town to town.
