• Edwin's class is still relatively new, only in its second year and considering that he is doing really well! There may not be many dancers up there but if you look at his beginners, the quality of dancing that he is getting out of these children that are brand new to irish dancing is amazing! If a TCRG leaves Commission a dancer can choose to leave that teacher at any time and transfer to any Commission teacher without doing a ban.   • This feis has grades and a Premiership. The Premiership is judged by one judge and consists of one light step and one heavy step down the line. A premiership is not the same as a prelim, a prelim (short for preliminary) is usually only open to dancers who have not placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in an open champ and who have not previously won a preliminary championship.   • That's not strictly accurate. Each feis has different rules for Prelim champs. For exams at Clann na nGael in Jan the rules state that only those who have won 2 prelims or have place top 5 in open during 2008/9 cannot enter. In the NE region they have special premiers whch are geared towards intermediate dancers. If you win a Special Premier you cannot enter another. Special premiers are unique to the NE region and are not the same as a premiership as danced at the Glasgow feis dIscussed above.
